Full job description

About the role

Lincoln City Football Club is looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to support our catering team during home matchdays and other events held at the stadium.

This is a fast-paced, practical role that is essential to the smooth running of our kitchen. You will help maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment while supporting chefs and other catering staff throughout each shift.

Key responsibilities

Washing and sanitising crockery, cutlery, cookware and kitchen equipment.
Keeping kitchen surfaces, floors, storage areas and washing-up stations clean and organised.
Ensuring clean equipment and utensils are returned to the correct areas promptly.
Assisting with basic food preparation when required.
Receiving, moving and storing catering supplies safely.
Removing waste and recycling in line with club procedures.
Following food hygiene, health and safety, and allergen-control procedures.
Supporting the wider catering team during busy matchday and event service.
Reporting damaged equipment, hazards or hygiene concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
Completing opening and closing cleaning duties as required.

About you

Previous experience in a kitchen or catering environment would be helpful but is not essential, as guidance and training can be provided. More importantly, you should:

Be reliable, punctual and prepared to work hard.
Work well as part of a team.
Be able to remain organised in a busy environment.
Have a positive and helpful attitude.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and personal hygiene.
Be comfortable completing physical tasks and standing for extended periods.
Be available for home matchdays and other stadium events, including evenings and weekends.
