Full job description

Ramside Hall Hotel are recruiting for an experienced Chef de Partie to come and join our team.

Just a 5-minute drive from the historic city of Durham, Ramside Hall Hotel offers 127 luxurious bedrooms and suites, each with its own unique charm and stunning views across 350 acres of private grounds. We are home to some of the finest dining experiences in County Durham, including Charcoa, The Rib Room Steakhouse, and our Pan-Asian restaurant Fusion. Alongside this, we host a wide range of events—from weddings and conferences to seasonal celebrations—making us one of the North East’s most versatile venues.

As the successful Chef de Partie you will be responsible for preparing, cooking and presenting dishes, maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen to our exceptionally high standards, mentoring and supporting the junior members of the team, along with assisting the Head Chef with creating new memorable dishes and menus, so that we delight every guest, every single time, so they come back time and time again.

We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, with at least 1 years’ experience of working as a Chef de Partie, ideally within a luxury hotel or fine dining/bistro restaurant.

You will need excellent communication and organisational skills, have impeccable standards of cleanliness and be able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.

But most importantly, you will have a passion for food and enjoy creating a memorable experience for our guests.

The role offers up to 48 hours per week and will include evening and weekend working.
