Assistant Accountant

Halls of Scotland, Glenburn Road, Prestwick, KA9 2NS

Halls of Scotland (part of the Browns Food Group) has an exiting opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join the finance team.

Overall purpose of the role:

To assist in the preparation and production of multi-site Management Accounting

information for the Finance Department.

Key Result Areas

· Stock Cards & Price Pads

· Finished Good & Raw Materials

· Manage Consignment Stocks

· Purchase Ledger/ Sales Ledger

· Sales Orders/Despatches Support

· VAT Return Preparation

· Weekly Management Information Margin Reports & KPI’s

· Stock confirmations from external storage

· Assist in Month End Accounts

· Support in Group System Improvement projects

Person Specification

Skills & Abilities

· Commercially alert

· Excellent communication skills

· Pro-active and with a can-do attitude and able to handle tasks and drive results without close supervision

· Focused and goal oriented

· Good organisational skills

· Ability to balance conflicting priorities

· An ability to work independently and as part of a wider team

Qualifications & Experience

· Part or Fully Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CIPFA, CPA)

· Confident accountant, with manufacturing experience is preferably

Hours of Work: Monday – Friday 9.00am – 5.30pm

Salary: Dependent on experience.

Work Location: In person
