Job Summary

Join our vibrant pet care team as a Dog Grooming Assistant, where your enthusiasm for animals and dedication to quality care will shine! In this energetic role, you will support professional groomers by preparing dogs for grooming sessions, assisting during grooming procedures, and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment for every furry client. Responsibilities

Assist groomers by handling dogs safely and calmly during grooming procedures
Prepare dogs for grooming by bathing, drying, brushing, and trimming as needed
Ensure all grooming tools and equipment are sanitized and well-maintained
Monitor dogs’ behavior during grooming to ensure safety and comfort
Support with kennel cleaning, feeding, and basic animal care tasks when necessary
Help manage appointment schedules and communicate effectively with pet owners
Lift and carry dogs of various sizes safely, following proper heavy lifting techniques

Requirements

Passion for animals with a genuine interest in animal care and grooming processes
Prior experience with veterinary work or animal care is a plus but not required; training will be provided
Strong customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners and team members
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling larger dogs or equipment
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday
Flexibility to work weekends or flexible hours as needed
