Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Loading Shovel Driver and become a vital part of our operations! In this energetic role, you will operate heavy machinery to efficiently load, unload, and move materials across the site. Your expertise will ensure smooth workflows, safety compliance, and optimal productivity. We’re looking for motivated individuals who thrive in active environments and are eager to contribute to a well-organized, fast-paced operation. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in machinery operation and site management.

Responsibilities

Operate loading shovels and excavators with precision to handle bulk materials safely and efficiently
Conduct routine inspections of machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are maintained
Assist with the loading and unloading of materials from trucks, containers, or storage areas
Follow all safety protocols and site procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a secure working environment
Collaborate with team members to coordinate material movement and maintain workflow continuity
Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage, maintenance needs, and material movements
Support minor mechanical troubleshooting and report any equipment issues promptly for repairs

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge to operate and maintain heavy machinery effectively
Proven experience operating excavators or similar heavy equipment in a commercial setting
Valid commercial driving license with relevant endorsements for operating heavy vehicles on-site
Ability to follow detailed safety instructions and adhere to operational procedures
Good communication skills for teamwork and reporting maintenance or safety concerns
Physical stamina to perform manual tasks and operate machinery throughout shifts
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing operational needs
