Help Us Make Our Ferments!

Savvy Ferments is a Brighton-based food brand making raw, unpasteurised sauerkraut with big, globally inspired flavours. We are growing and looking for a reliable, hands-on Fermentation & Production Assistant to join us in our Kraut Lab to help make, prepare, and pack the products our customers love.

What You'll Be Doing

Preparing fresh vegetables and ingredients (chopping, weighing, mixing).
Making batches of our signature raw sauerkraut.
Filling, labelling, and packing jars for distribution.
Preparing wholesale and retail customer orders.
Cleaning, sanitising, and maintaining our production area.
Assisting with general day-to-day operations in the Kraut Lab.

Role Requirements & Physical Demands This is an active, physical role. You will be on your feet for most of your shift and regularly lifting and moving heavy ingredients, equipment, and finished stock.

What We Are Looking For

Good physical strength and stamina (comfortable with heavy lifting and manual labour).
Practical, hands-on work ethic with great attention to detail.
Reliable, punctual, and comfortable following strict hygiene and production processes.
An interest in food, cooking, fermentation, or local food production.
Ability to work effectively both independently and within a small team.
Flexibility to work weekday shifts (hours agreed based on production schedules).

Previous experience in food production, commercial kitchens, catering, or hospitality is a plus, but not essential — full training on our process will be provided!

Pay: £13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 25.0 per week
