Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic waiting/bar member to join our vibrant team. As a waiting/bar member, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional guest services, ensuring that every dining experience is memorable. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for our patrons.

Duties

Greet guests warmly and present menus, offering assistance with menu selections.
Take accurate food and drink orders while ensuring timely service.
Upsell additional items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
Prepare tables for dining by setting up utensils, glassware, and condiments.
Ensure food safety standards are adhered to during food preparation and service.
Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including clearing tables and resetting them for new guests.
Respond promptly to guest inquiries and requests, providing exceptional hospitality at all times.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and timely delivery of orders.
Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.

Qualifications

Priority will be given to applicants who have previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment.
Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting.
Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing bills.
Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety regulations is an advantage.
Excellent communication skills with a friendly disposition towards guests and team members.
A passion for culinary arts and an eagerness to learn about menu offerings.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
