Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Wall and Floor Tiler to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining wall and floor surfaces using a variety of tiling techniques. Your expertise will help create durable, visually appealing finishes in residential, commercial, or industrial spaces. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, showcase your craftsmanship, and contribute to high-quality building environments.
We would also be looking for some with the passion to want to extend their knowledge and skill set in becoming a fully qualified Bathroom & Kitchen fitter.
Responsibilities
OWN TOOLS IS ESSENTIAL
- Measure and prepare surfaces accurately to ensure proper tile adhesion and alignment.
- Cut tiles precisely using hand tools and power tools to fit specific spaces and patterns.
- Lay tiles on walls and floors according to schematics, blueprints, or design specifications.
- Mix adhesives, grouts, and sealants to secure tiles effectively and ensure long-lasting results.
- Use carpentry skills for framing or supporting structures as needed for tiling projects.
- Maintain a clean workspace by removing debris and excess materials during and after installation.
- Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure quality standards are met and rectify any issues promptly.
Requirements
- Proven construction experience with a focus on tiling or related trades.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as trowels, chisels, levels, and measuring tapes.
- Experience with power tools including saws, drills, and grinders for precise cuts and adjustments.
- Knowledge of schematics, blueprints, or technical drawings to guide installations.
- Familiarity with construction painting techniques is a plus for finishing touches.
- Ability to interpret project plans accurately and follow safety protocols diligently.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills to handle complex layouts.
