Role requirements
The role of the Transport Booking Clerk is to understand and undertake all aspects of the administration functions within the Traffic Office, with particular emphasis on job input and booking in deliveries. Responsible for the upkeep of our Transport Management System including booking times, amendments, cancellations and additions to ensure the system is accurate and live at all times for planning purposes.
- Book in deliveries and collections on with customers.
- Ensure accurate and 100% completion of bookings for the following day
- Deal with incoming and outgoing phone calls on a daily basis
- Deal with customer issues via telephone and email and process customer enquiries in a timely fashion, meeting the expectations of the customer
- To complete non-conformances and report them to the customers

- Good customer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office package
- Office experience essential
- Excellent customer focus
- Excellent telephone manner
- Very good verbal and written communication skills

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £26,650 per year
