Full job description

The Bull Hotel in Peterborough is currently recruiting for a full time receptionist position. This position in on a shift pattern of 7.00am to 3.30pm or 2.30pm to 11pm, 3-5 days out of 7 (including weekends).

Key Duties & Responsibilities include:

· To deal with all guests and telephone calls in a prompt and friendly manner.

· To operate the switchboard accurately and efficiently, ensuring all calls are monitored and dealt with correctly.

· To accurately follow procedures to deal with incoming messages for guests and management.

· To accurately follow procedures for dealing with enquiries for reservations or other hotel service.

· To promote all hotel services, up sell where appropriate. Provide guests with knowledge to make decisions regarding hotel services.

· Check guests in/out in a friendly and efficient manner.

· Accurate handling and securing of all cash and credit transactions.

· Efficient handling and security of all keys and floats.

· Accurate preparation of all guests invoices.

· Actively work towards rooms occupancy and average room rate targets.

· Attend all team briefs and training sessions as requested.

· To be helpful and courteous at all times.

Experience in customer service would be an advantage. Full training will be provided.
