Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Dessert Production Assistant to join our culinary team. This role involves assisting in the preparation and production of high-quality desserts in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent organisational skills, and a keen eye for detail to ensure all products meet our quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop culinary skills within a professional setting.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and production of a variety of desserts, including baking, decorating, and assembling sweet treats.
Follow recipes and food safety guidelines meticulously to ensure consistency and quality.
Prepare ingredients by measuring, mixing, and organising supplies for efficient workflow.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, adhering to hygiene standards at all times.
Support the kitchen team during busy periods by performing basic food preparation tasks as required.
Ensure all desserts are presented attractively and delivered on time for service or delivery.
Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying supervisors of shortages or expiry dates.

Skills

Experience in food production, food preparation, or cooking within a professional kitchen environment.
Knowledge of baking techniques and culinary practices related to dessert creation.
Understanding of food safety standards and hygiene regulations.
Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is advantageous but not essential; enthusiasm for learning is key.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure.
Attention to detail to ensure consistent quality in all desserts produced.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively with colleagues.
