Job Summary

Here at Stewart's Painting and Decorating we are seeking two skilled and reliable Painter and Decorators to join our team. The successful candidates will be responsible for applying paint, varnishes, and other finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about construction painting and decorating to develop their skills within a professional environment. The position requires good communication skills, a valid driving licence, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

*Pay per hour or day rate - subject to a trial and negotiation*

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming prior to painting or decorating.
Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other finishes with precision and care.
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations.
Use brushes, rollers, spray guns, and other tools effectively to achieve desired finishes.
Assist in colour matching and selecting appropriate materials for projects.
Maintain a clean and organised work area throughout each project.
Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure project requirements are met.
Drive between sites as required to complete various decorating projects.

Experience

Proven experience in construction painting or decorating is preferred
Knowledge of different painting techniques and materials is advantageous.
Good communication skills in English are essential for understanding instructions and liaising with clients.
Valid driving licence is desirable to facilitate travel between multiple sites.
Prior experience working on diverse projects such as residential or commercial properties will be beneficial but is not mandatory.
