Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Associate to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in food preparation, meal assembly, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for catering, cooking, and the culinary arts to develop their skills within a professional kitchen environment. The Kitchen Associate will contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences and supporting the smooth operation of our kitchen services.

Duties

Assist in food preparation and meal assembly according to established recipes and standards
Support catering events by preparing ingredients and plating dishes as required
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, adhering to food safety regulations
Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and measuring for various dishes
Ensure all food is stored correctly and inventory levels are maintained
Serve food to guests in a courteous and professional manner
Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to ensure a safe working environment
Assist with general kitchen duties including cleaning utensils, equipment, and surfaces
Support team members during busy periods to ensure timely service delivery

Requirements

Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Knowledge of food safety standards and practices
Basic culinary skills such as meal preparation, food handling, and cooking techniques
Experience in food preparation and kitchen operations preferred
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends or evenings if necessary
