Job Overview

We are seeking experienced and dedicated Roofers to join our construction team. The successful candidates will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on a variety of building types. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilising a range of skills from traditional roofing techniques to modern fabrication methods. Candidates must be committed to safety, quality workmanship, and efficiency in all tasks undertaken.

Duties

Install new roofing systems following technical specifications and schematics
Repair and replace damaged or worn roofing materials with precision and care
Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment safely and effectively
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans
Utilise welding, fabrication, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and other construction skills as required
Conduct inspections to ensure roofing work meets safety standards and quality benchmarks
Perform heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, tiles, or metal sheets
Apply waterproofing techniques and sealants to ensure durability of roofing systems
Maintain a clean and organised worksite to promote safety and efficiency
Collaborate with team members to complete projects within deadlines

Requirements

Proven experience in roofing or related construction fields such as carpentry or masonry
Knowledge of schematics, technical drawings, and construction plans
Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques
Ability to interpret blueprints and technical specifications accurately
Physical fitness to perform heavy lifting and work at heights for extended periods
Experience with plumbing or masonry is advantageous but not essential
Strong understanding of safety protocols related to roofing work and construction sites
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
