Full job description

About the Role

Siam Creative Education and Learning Services is looking for a practical and customer-focused IT Support Technician to provide day-to-day technical assistance across computers, user accounts, software, peripherals, and general workplace systems.

This role is suitable for someone who enjoys troubleshooting technical issues, supporting users, and keeping IT equipment and support requests organised. You will help ensure staff and learners can use technology reliably and receive timely assistance when problems arise.

Key Responsibilities

Provide first-line technical support to staff and users.
Troubleshoot desktop, laptop, printer, and peripheral issues.
Assist with Windows, Microsoft 365, email, and common business applications.
Support password resets, user accounts, and basic access permissions.
Install and configure approved software and hardware.
Prepare computers and equipment for new users.
Diagnose basic network and connectivity issues.
Respond to technical requests through phone, email, and support systems.
Record incidents, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions accurately.
Escalate complex technical issues when required.
Maintain IT equipment and asset records.
Support routine device updates and system maintenance.
Assist with classroom and office technology setup.
Help users connect to printers, networks, and shared resources.
Monitor outstanding support requests and provide follow-up updates.
Maintain organised technical documentation and support guides.
Assist with equipment replacements and basic hardware changes.
Follow internal IT security and data handling procedures.

What We Are Looking For

Experience: Previous experience in IT support, help desk, technical support, desktop support, computer repair, or a similar role is preferred.

Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with Windows computers, Microsoft 365, user accounts, printers, peripherals, and basic networking would be advantageous.

Troubleshooting Skills: Able to investigate common technical problems logically and identify practical solutions.

Customer Service: Patient and professional when helping users with different levels of technical knowledge.

Systems Skills: Comfortable using support tools, remote access software, Microsoft Office applications, and general IT administration systems.

Organisation: Able to manage multiple technical requests and maintain accurate records.

Communication: Able to explain technical information clearly and provide useful updates to users.

Attention to Detail: Careful when configuring equipment, updating accounts, and recording technical information.

Problem Solving: Able to determine when an issue can be resolved independently and when escalation is required.

Mindset: You are practical, dependable, curious, and solution-focused. You take ownership of technical issues, communicate clearly, and understand the importance of providing reliable IT support to users.

Pay: £42,000.00 per year
