Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Bookkeeper to join our team in the United Kingdom. In this role, you will be essential in managing our financial records, ensuring accuracy, and supporting the company's ongoing success. Your contributions will help maintain our reputation for quality and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and manage bookkeeping transactions.
- Processing bank payments and daily bank reconciliation
- Reconcile accounts and prepare financial statements.
- Process company payroll (Sage Payroll)
- Process expenses and petty cash
- CIS
- HMRC payments inc. VAT
- Debt chasing – monitor and manage accounts receivable
- Assist with budgeting and financial planning.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations.
- Collaborate with external accountants during audits.
- Manage supplier and client invoicing and payments efficiently.
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Sage Accounting (Cloud) software and MS Office tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good understanding of financial regulations relevant to the UK.
- Preferred: A qualification in accounting or finance.
- Experience working in the construction or contracting industry is advantageous.
- Answering incoming calls and other general office admin duties
