Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roofer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on residential and commercial buildings. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise a range of technical skills within a dynamic and professional environment. Candidates should be committed to safety, quality workmanship, and punctuality.

Responsibilities

Installing new roofing systems using various materials such as tiles, slates and rubber flat roof systems
Repairing and replacing damaged or worn roofing components to ensure structural integrity and weatherproofing
Inspecting roofs to identify issues and determine appropriate solutions
Working at heights safely using scaffolding, ladders, and harnesses
Measuring and cutting materials accurately using hand tools and power tools
Maintaining a clean work site by removing debris and ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times

Skills

Proven experience in roofing installation and repairs
Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, chisels, saws, and screwdrivers
Competence in operating power tools including drills, nail guns, and cutting equipment
Ability to fabricate custom components as needed for specialised roofing projects
Good understanding of health and safety regulations related to working at heights and on construction sites
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Physical fitness to perform manual labour in various weather conditions
