Are you an experienced Print Operative looking for your next opportunity?

If you have a background in flexographic, lithographic or gravure printing and want to develop your career with an established manufacturer - why not get in touch and join our team!

The Role

As a Print Operative, you will play a vital role in producing high-quality packaging products for a wide range of customers. You will be responsible for operating printing equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of quality and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

Operate manual and semi-automatic printing machinery, including 4-colour stack presses and 8-colour CI press
Monitor machine performance to achieve production targets and quality standards
Identify, troubleshoot and resolve printing issues
Optimise changeovers while maintaining safety and quality standards
Mount printing plates and perform colour matching as required
Follow Lean Manufacturing principles, including SMED and 5S
Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment
Conduct shift handovers to ensure smooth production transitions, including briefing the next shift and checking machinery
Promote a positive safety culture and adhere to company procedures at all times

What We're Looking For

Essential

Previous experience within a print manufacturing environment
Background in flexographic, lithographic or gravure printing
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Basic computer literacy
Excellent attendance and timekeeping

Desirable

NVQ qualification in Print or a related discipline

Working Hours

Average 38.5 hours per week
Continental shift pattern covering day and night shifts on a 3 week rotating schedule
Generous rest days built into the shift cycle
