Join Our Expanding HR Team: HR Business Partners (Part-Time Roles x2)

Locations: Oxford & Trust sites (Hybrid working with onsite presence at Littlemore, Oxford and at Trust meetings)

Positions Available:
Role 1: 0.7 WTE (26 hours per week)

Role 2: 0.5 WTE (19 hours per week)

As part of our continued investment in strengthening HR support across the organisation, we are expanding our team and seeking to recruit two experienced, senior HR Business Partners.

In these pivotal roles, you will act as a trusted advisor to your assigned directorates and service groups. Working collaboratively alongside Talent Acquisition, Organisational Development, and the wider HR function, you will design and deliver forward thinking workforce strategies aligned directly with operational service priorities.

Because of the high touch, partnering nature of these positions, postholders will spread their working hours across 4 to 5 days per week, maintaining the flexibility required to support service needs and attend key meetings. We support a flexible hybrid working model, blending work from home with meaningful onsite presence at our Littlemore, Oxford location and across our Trust sites to stay connected with the services you support.

Key Responsibilities include -

Strategic Partnership: Build strong, trusted relationships with senior leaders to align workforce strategies with directorate goals.

Employee Relations: Maintain positive, collaborative working relationships with trade unions and colleagues.

Problem Solving & Solution Design: Identify complex workforce challenges within services and develop targeted, high impact solutions.

Strategic Execution: Deliver quality strategic and operational support across workforce planning, medical workforce, temporary staffing, and staff engagement.

Initiative Leadership: Contribute to trust wide workforce projects, change management programmes, and continuous improvement activities.

Candidates should be educated to Master’s level in HR Management (or hold equivalent senior experience) alongside specialist, up-to-date knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and complex workforce issues such as planning and engagement.

You will bring a proven track record in a senior HR role within a complex organisation, with demonstrated experience leading change management and project management initiatives while collaborating effectively across multi disciplinary teams and diverse stakeholders.

Ideal candidates will combine a strategic and tactical mindset with the ability to manage competing demands under pressure, responding to urgent situations with calm, logical empathy. A quality-focused, flexible approach to problem-solving is essential, as is access to your own car or suitable alternative transport for business travel across Trust locations.
