Duties
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of food preparation
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency, quality, and timely delivery of meals
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene practices
- Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service operations
- Monitor kitchen equipment maintenance and cleanliness to uphold health standards
Experience
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Supervising experience with team management responsibilities
- Extensive knowledge of food production, preparation, and cooking techniques
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team
- Experience in menu development and culinary innovation is desirable
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience serving customers or working within hospitality is advantageous
