Founded in 2016, with over 35 years of experience in the construction industry, Armstrong Building and Maintenance Ltd is an established and reputable building and maintenance company delivering high quality services to social housing providers across Greater Manchester and the North West region. Our work includes responsive repairs, planned maintenance, void refurbishments, and general building works. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Multiskilled Engineer to join our team.
The Role
You’ll carry out a variety of maintenance and repair tasks in commercial and occupied and void social housing properties. No two days are the same, and you’ll need to be confident working independently, representing the company professionally, and delivering a high standard of workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out day‑to‑day repairs, maintenance, and small works in social housing properties.
- Diagnose issues and complete works efficiently and to a high standard
- Work across multiple trades such as joinery, plumbing, plastering, tiling, or basic electrics
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company and client requirements
- Maintain accurate job records using cloud based job management system
- Provide excellent customer service to tenants and clients
- Travel across Greater Manchester and the North of England
About You
We’re looking for someone reliable and skilled
Essential Skills & Experience
- A minimum of 5 years’ proven experience as a multiskilled engineer or tradesperson
- Strong all round trades skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Relevant trade qualifications including CSCS card
- strong knowledge of health & safety and compliance requirements
· Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
· Good problem solving abilities and a professional approach
· Punctual and reliable
What We Offer
· £16 per hour, guaranteed weekly pay with the opportunity for overtime
· Enhanced rates for anti-social working hours
· Permanent contract of employment, 40 hour working week, Monday – Friday (on call working on a rota basis)
· 20 holiday days plus Bank holidays with additional holiday after a qualifying period.
