Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Activity Coordinator to join our caring team. In this vital role, you will design, organise, and lead engaging activities that promote social interaction, mental stimulation, and overall well-being for our residents. Your enthusiasm and creativity will help create a lively, supportive environment where seniors feel valued, empowered, and happy. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults through dynamic programming tailored to their interests and needs.

Duties

Develop and implement a calendar of activities that cater to residents’ interests, including arts and crafts, music therapy, games and reminiscence sessions
Foster a warm atmosphere by encouraging participation and building relationships with residents
Lead activity sessions with enthusiasm, ensuring safety and engagement at all times
Maintain accurate records of participation, feedback, and activity outcomes to monitor resident progress

Requirements

Good communication skills to effectively engage residents of varying abilities
Passion for caregiving with a genuine desire to improve residents’ daily experiences
Ability to organise, motivate, and lead group activities confidently
Flexibility to adapt activities based on individual needs and changing circumstances
A caring attitude combined with good interpersonal skills to foster trust and joy among residents
