Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fabricator/Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess strong welding and fabrication expertise, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and work with various materials. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-quality projects in a dynamic environment, utilising a range of hand and power tools. Candidates should have a solid mechanical understanding and be committed to safety and precision in their work.

Responsibilities

Perform welding tasks using TIG welding techniques, ensuring adherence to specifications and safety standards
Fabricate components from sheet metal and other materials, following detailed technical drawings and plans
Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment effectively to assemble parts and structures
Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials with precision, maintaining quality standards throughout the process
Conduct basic inspections of finished work for defects or inconsistencies
Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring all equipment is properly stored and maintained
Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and optimise workflow efficiency

Skills

Proficiency in TIG welding and other welding techniques relevant to welding standards
Experience working with sheet metal, fabrication processes, and assembly tasks
Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
Basic mathematical skills for measurements, calculations, and adjustments during fabrication processes
Familiarity with safety procedures related to welding and metalwork environments
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
