Full job description

We are a busy, dynamic car dealership in Cambridgeshire looking for a versatile Automotive Mechanic / Vehicle Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a minimum of 3 years’ experience, or for a trainee/apprentice looking to start a career in vehicle maintenance.

The successful candidate will:

Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on a variety of vehicles
Carry out servicing, MOT preparation, and general vehicle maintenance
Assist with vehicle valeting and preparation for sale
Support the sales team with general tasks and vehicle movement
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment
Take ownership of tasks and work independently when required

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years’ experience for experienced roles, or willingness to train for trainee roles
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Full UK driving licence
Flexible, reliable, and a team player
Willingness to assist across dealership tasks, including car sales support and valeting
