Full job description

Job Summary
School bus/coach drivers required.

Minimum 30 hours per week Monday to Friday, Term time only.

up to 3 hours in the morning & up to 3 hours in the Afternoon.

Opportunity to work more hours covering private hires or rail replacement between the school jobs and at weekends.

You will be driving a range of vehicles from smaller service type buses to double deckers and 53 coach with manual gears. Therefore experience in driving a range or buses/coaches is preferred.

Responsibilities

Safely operate the bus in accordance with traffic regulations and company policies.
Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bus interior and exterior.
Communicate effectively with passengers, providing information about routes and schedules.
Assist passengers with boarding and alighting, including those with disabilities.
Monitor passenger behaviour to ensure a safe and pleasant journey.
Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly to management.
Keep accurate records of trips, including mileage and passenger counts.

Requirements

Valid commercial driving licence with appropriate endorsements for bus operation.
Proven experience as a delivery driver or similar role is advantageous.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently while adhering to schedules and safety protocols.
Previous experience in driving larger vehicles is preferred but not mandatory.
