Overview

Join our dynamic warehouse team as a Warehouse Assistant, where your energy and attention to detail will keep our operations running smoothly! In this vital role, you’ll be responsible for handling materials efficiently, supporting shipping and receiving processes, and maintaining a well-organized warehouse environment. Your proactive approach will ensure products are stocked correctly, orders are picked and packed accurately, and safety standards are upheld at all times. This position offers an engaging opportunity to develop your skills in warehouse management while contributing to a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.

Responsibilities

Assist with materials handling tasks including loading, unloading, and moving stock within the warehouse using appropriate equipment such as forklifts.
Support shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and condition.
Use the warehouse management system to track inventory levels, update stock records, and ensure data accuracy.
Pick and pack customer orders efficiently, ensuring correct items are prepared for dispatch.
Stock shelves and storage areas systematically to optimize space utilization and facilitate easy access.
Conduct quality control checks on products to identify damages or discrepancies before storage or shipment.
Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols, performing regular equipment checks, and assisting with heavy lifting when necessary.

Experience

Previous experience working in a warehouse environment is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Familiarity with materials handling equipment such as forklifts is advantageous; certification is a plus but not required.
Basic mechanical knowledge can help with troubleshooting minor equipment issues.
Experience with warehouse management systems or inventory software will help you adapt quickly to our processes.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently is essential for this role.
Strong attention to detail combined with good organizational skills will ensure accuracy in stock management and order fulfillment.

Pay: £12.71 per hour
