Full job description

Overview

Due to continued growth and an increasing workload, LG Howson Ltd is seeking an experienced and motivated Groundworks Site Foreman to join our team.

We are looking for a hands-on individual with strong leadership skills who can manage site operations, coordinate labour and plant, and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

The Role

As Site Foreman, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of groundworks and civil engineering projects, including:

Supervising groundworkers, labourers and subcontractors on site
Organising daily works and allocating tasks to site teams
Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications
Liaising with clients, site managers, suppliers and utility providers
Ensuring works are completed safely, on programme and to specification
Managing plant, materials and deliveries
Maintaining site records and reporting progress to management
Promoting and enforcing health and safety procedures at all times
Assisting with hands-on groundworks activities when required

Requirements

Proven experience as a Groundworks Foreman or Senior Groundworker
Strong knowledge of drainage, foundations, utilities, roads, kerbing and associated groundworks
Ability to read and understand construction drawings
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities
Full UK Driving Licence
