Overview
Due to continued growth and an increasing workload, LG Howson Ltd is seeking an experienced and motivated Groundworks Site Foreman to join our team.
We are looking for a hands-on individual with strong leadership skills who can manage site operations, coordinate labour and plant, and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
The Role
As Site Foreman, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of groundworks and civil engineering projects, including:
- Supervising groundworkers, labourers and subcontractors on site
- Organising daily works and allocating tasks to site teams
- Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications
- Liaising with clients, site managers, suppliers and utility providers
- Ensuring works are completed safely, on programme and to specification
- Managing plant, materials and deliveries
- Maintaining site records and reporting progress to management
- Promoting and enforcing health and safety procedures at all times
- Assisting with hands-on groundworks activities when required
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Groundworks Foreman or Senior Groundworker
- Strong knowledge of drainage, foundations, utilities, roads, kerbing and associated groundworks
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities
- Full UK Driving Licence
