,Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing vehicles and other surfaces with precision and care. Your expertise will help ensure that each project meets our high standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your skills in auto body repair, auto painting, and vehicle maintenance within a fast-paced, energetic environment committed to excellence.

Duties

Prepare surfaces thoroughly by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
Apply primer, paint, clear coats, and protective finishes using various techniques including airless paint spraying, buffing, and hand tools
Utilise power tools and hand tools effectively for surface preparation and finishing tasks
Perform auto body repairs such as dent removal, filling, sanding, and straightening to restore vehicle integrity before painting
Conduct auto glass replacements or repairs as needed to support overall vehicle restoration
Assist with auto restoration projects by performing mechanical tasks like welding or heavy lifting when required
Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency during all stages of the painting process
Collaborate with team members to estimate project timelines and ensure timely completion of work
Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair processes and addressing client questions professionally
Support vehicle detailing activities to enhance overall appearance post-painting or repair

Requirements

Proven experience in auto body painting or dealership environments, with a strong understanding of auto painting techniques
Knowledge of welding processes and mechanical systems related to vehicle repair and restoration
Familiarity with auto body repair procedures including dent removal, sanding, buffing, and auto glass work
Ability to operate power tools such as sanders, grinders, spray guns (airless paint sprayers), buffers, and other hand tools safely and effectively
Physical ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods during vehicle repairs or restorations
Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship in all tasks undertaken
Willing to support junior techs and offer support/expertise when needed
you will need to work independently on vehicles and have experience to make decisions when required
Excellent communication skills for working collaboratively within a team environment and providing customer support when needed
