Full job description

Workplace Stuff is a growing online family business supplying a wide range of industrial and commercial workplace products across the UK. We are looking for a proactive, organised and customer-focused individual to join our small, friendly office team.

This is a varied role that combines customer service, sales and account management. You'll become an expert in our product range, helping customers find the right solutions, identifying opportunities to add value, and building long-term relationships with both new and existing customers.

What You'll Be Doing

Managing customer enquiries by phone and email
Processing customer orders and preparing quotations
Building strong relationships with new and existing customers
Identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products that add value
Developing a thorough knowledge of our product range to provide expert advice
Managing and growing customer accounts through excellent service
Liaising with suppliers and the internal team to ensure smooth order fulfilment
Supporting general office administration where required
Assisting with ecommerce content, product information and pricing updates when needed

What We're Looking For

Ability to identify customer needs and recommend suitable products
A positive, customer-focused approach with a passion for sales
Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
A confident and professional telephone manner
Confident using computers, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office/OpenOffice
Able to work independently as well as part of a small team
Reliable, punctual and eager to learn
Fluent written and spoken English

Desirable Skills

Previous experience in sales, internal sales or account management
Experience preparing quotations and processing customer orders
Understanding of sales margins and pricing
Experience with ERP and CRM systems
Experience with WordPress or WooCommerce would be an advantage, although full training will be provided

What We Offer

Full-time, permanent position
Monday–Thursday: 9:00am–5:00pm
Friday: 9:00am–4:30pm
Salary dependent on experience
Full product training and ongoing development
Opportunity to grow with an expanding family business
