Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Qualified Accuracy Checking Technician to join our pharmacy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and safety of dispensed medications, supporting patient care, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. This role is vital in safeguarding patient health by verifying prescriptions and medication orders with precision and professionalism.

Duties

Conduct thorough accuracy checks on dispensed prescriptions to ensure correctness in medication, dosage, and labelling.
Review prescription orders against original documents and verify all details before medication handover.
Assist in managing stock levels, ensuring proper storage and organisation of medicines.
Provide guidance on medication usage to patients, ensuring they understand instructions clearly.
Maintain meticulous records of all checks performed, adhering to legal and organisational standards.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient safety and medication management.
Uphold strict confidentiality and data protection protocols at all times.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Accuracy Checking Technician or in a similar role within a pharmacy setting.
Knowledge of medication administration procedures and patient care practices.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills to minimise errors.
Good communication skills to effectively liaise with patients and healthcare providers.
Ability to work accurately under pressure while maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.
Relevant qualifications or certifications in pharmacy practice are highly desirable.
