Purchasing & Logistics Co-ordinator
£25,000–£28,000 per year, depending on experience

Role Overview
This is a hands-on position where you'll be involved in many areas of the business, giving you valuable exposure across purchasing, logistics and customer service.
It's ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys variety in their day-to-day work and takes pride in getting things done accurately.
We use online software and systems extensively, so excellent attention to detail and strong computer skills are essential.
You'll ideally have at least two years' experience working in an office-based role and be confident using online systems and software.
Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm, with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break

Key ResponsibilitiesPurchasing
- Place orders with suppliers accurately and in a timely manner
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers based in both the UK and overseas
- Review and approve product samples before production begins
- Ensure required information and systems are updated correctly
- Liaise effectively with internal teams to coordinate requirements and escalate any issues promptly
- Create and process purchase orders and customer invoices accurately
- Update reporting data regularly and accurately
Logistics
- Manage shipment dates and update systems quickly and accurately with all required information
- Organise your time effectively to ensure incoming goods are checked and processed quickly
- Pick, pack and dispatch customer orders efficiently while ensuring accuracy
- Communicate effectively with customers to keep them up to date with shipment dates
- Monitor ongoing shipments and communicate directly with customers and shipping companies to investigate and resolve delivery issues
- Maintain oversight of stock control to ensure inventory levels are managed appropriately
- Ensure the stock room is kept tidy and organised
Customer Service & General Business Support
- Answer telephone calls and emails, serving as a friendly and professional first point of contact for the business
- Direct calls to the most relevant person and handle remaining enquiries professionally
- Assist with sales administration and general office tasks
- Be an active participant in weekly team meetings
