Accounts Administrator

Location: Trefarclawdd Farm, Trefonen, SY10 9DE Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday Reports to: Finance Manager

We aim to produce high quality products and services for our customers in the food, property and leisure sectors.

About the Role

We are looking for an organised and detail-focused Accounts Administrator to join our team based at Yareal UK’s operational base at Trefarclawdd Farm.

Working closely with the Finance Manager and colleagues across the business, you will provide essential financial and administrative support across our agricultural operations. The role will involve responsibility for supplier invoices, payment processing, reconciliations, sales invoicing and a range of day-to-day accounting activities.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with accounts administration experience who is looking to develop their skills within a busy and varied finance environment.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

· Processing supplier invoices through the Sage accounting system.

· Distributing supplier invoices to relevant departments for authorisation.

· Monitoring outstanding invoices and resolving queries promptly.

· Reconciling supplier statements and investigating discrepancies.

· Ensuring supplier invoices and financial records are accurately filed and maintained.

· Responding to supplier telephone enquiries and resolving queries professionally.

· Assisting with balance sheet and other financial reconciliations.

· Preparing and processing sales invoices.

· Posting journals accurately and in a timely manner.

· Managing petty cash and processing employee expense claims.

· Working with suppliers to rationalise purchasing arrangements and identify opportunities to reduce costs.

· Liaising effectively with senior colleagues, employees, customers and suppliers.

· Providing general administrative and accounting support as required.

About You

We are looking for someone who is organised, reliable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. You will have excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

You will ideally have:

· Previous experience in an accounts or administration role.

· Experience of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

· Experience using Sage accounting software.

· Strong organisational, planning and time-management skills.

· Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability.

· Good written and verbal communication skills.

· The ability to work independently, manage your own workload and meet deadlines.

· A thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office, email and internet-based systems.

· Business or accounts administration qualifications to NVQ level or equivalent.

Experience within the agricultural sector would be advantageous but is not essential.
