Full job description

Are you passionate about aircraft technology and ready to start your career in avionics? Setnix UK is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our expanding team as a Trainee Avionics Technician.

This entry-level role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in electronics and aviation, eager to develop hands-on skills in a dynamic, safety-critical environment. You’ll receive full training from experienced engineers and gain exposure to a wide range of commercial aircraft avionics systems.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the repair and testing of aircraft electrical and avionics components under supervision.
Learn to operate Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and diagnostic tools.
Support experienced technicians in fault-finding, disassembly, and board-level repair.
Accurately record test results and repair data in line with quality standards.
Contribute to maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Actively participate in internal training and development programs.
Account for working hours using the company’s timesheet system.

Desired Skills & Qualifications

Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades A–C (4–9), including English and Mathematics.
Genuine interest in electronics, engineering, or aviation (BTEC or similar qualification is a plus).
Practical mindset and willingness to learn new tools and techniques.
Basic computer literacy (Excel, Word, etc.).
Strong communication skills and team spirit.
Good attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Must have the right to live and work in the UK.
