Job Overview

We are seeking a professional and organised Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth administrative operations within the practice. This role offers an opportunity to work in a supportive environment where your organisational skills and attention to detail will be highly valued. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with a keen interest in healthcare administration.

Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming environment.
Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, confirming, and rescheduling as necessary.
Handle incoming calls, respond to enquiries, and direct calls appropriately.
Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the practice management system.
Process patient check-ins and check-outs efficiently while ensuring confidentiality.
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and data entry.
Liaise with healthcare professionals and other staff to coordinate patient care effectively.
Ensure the reception area remains tidy, organised, and welcoming at all times.

Experience

Previous office experience or administrative experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
Strong organisational skills with an ability to multitask efficiently in a busy environment.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in using office software programmes such as MS Office or similar applications.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
A friendly demeanour with a professional attitude towards patients and colleagues alike.
