Full job description

Overview

Please note: Hours of shifts will be Monday-Friday between 9am-4pm, with additional hours for after hour events during the week. Weekend hours will be offered for the right person. Please apply if you are able to work these hours.

Join our dynamic team as a Restaurant Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional dining experiences! This energetic role is perfect for motivated individuals passionate about hospitality, food service, and guest relations. As a Restaurant Assistant, you will support daily operations, ensure cleanliness and safety standards, and help create a welcoming environment for all guests. Your enthusiasm and dedication will contribute to our vibrant restaurant atmosphere where teamwork and excellent service thrive.

Responsibilities

Manage front-of-house duties such as meeting and greeting guests, taking orders, cleaning, and maintaining a tidy dining area
Operate POS systems for order processing and cash handling
Greet guests warmly as a host/hostess, managing reservations via Tableagent and providing excellent guest services
Maintain food safety protocols, proper food handling, and sanitation standards throughout the restaurant
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries with professionalism and courtesy
Support catering events by assisting with setup, meal preparation, and breakdown activities
Demonstrate strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and ensure smooth operations

Experience

Previous restaurant experience or hospitality background preferred 1 year minimum experience; training provided for motivated learners
Familiarity with food service procedures including serving, clearing, and food safety practices
Experience with POS systems
Knowledge of dietary accommodations and food handling regulations is a plus
Strong communication skills and the ability to handle phone etiquette professionally
Experience in catering or banquet settings enhances your ability to succeed in this role
Ability to work in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail and guest satisfaction

Pay: Up to £12.71 per hour
