Full job description

SALES LEDGER FINANCE ASSISTANT

Responsible To: Finance Manager

Department: Finance

Job Summary

Part time Sales Ledger Assistant required to join our team and work a varied role across 2 businesses.

Duties to include daily assimilation and reconciliation of revenue data, maintenance of revenue and statistical reporting in finance system software.

Daily and weekly reporting of revenues to management.

Invoicing of sales, allocation of receipts and maintenance cash books.

Monitor calls and assist with queries regarding customer accounts.

Key Result Areas

Download and save daily data for hotel in required formats, upload data into accounting system including reconciling monies received and voucher reconciliation
Preparation on a daily basis of cash reconciliation
Confirmation on a daily basis of credit card reconciliation
Preparation of paying-in book ensuring that cash is paid into bank account
Checking and detailing of the Hotel’s daily business file, specifically relating to restaurant covers, room and food allocations and spa activity
Process Daily Ferry Income including Fleet in accounting system – Aqilla
Check Ferry usage and email monthly invoiced account customers, create invoice and statistical records for Fire and Police Services
Monitor Fleet account balances and chase debt as necessary
Ensure timely delivery of daily and weekly revenue reports
Monitor Ferry calls and assist with customer queries
Roll over files at month end to assist smooth reporting
Assist with holiday and sickness cover for finance team
To understand and comply with all Health and Safety regulations, such as fire safety, COSHH, risk assessments and departmental Standards of Performance
To work with the team and to help other departments so that a smooth efficient working environment is achieved
To maintain a positive attitude and working environment at all times
To ensure that all company, hotel and statutory regulations and policies are adhered to at all times
To attend meetings and training as required
To carry out any other reasonable duties consistent with the above as required

30 Hours a week over 5 days. Some flexibility in Hours and shift patterns.

Pay: From £13.52 per hour
