Full job description

Job Overview
We are looking for experienced and reliable Painters and Decorators to join our team on a full-time basis. We are based in South Shields but cover the whole of the North East.

The successful candidates will carry out a variety of internal and external painting and decorating works across a range of residential and commercial properties.

You’ll be expected to deliver a high standard of workmanship while working safely, efficiently, and professionally in occupied and unoccupied environments.

Duties

Carry out surface preparation, filling, sanding, and priming.
Apply paints and finishes to walls, ceilings, woodwork, metalwork etc.
Work to specification and ensure consistent high-quality finishes.
Maintain a clean and organised work area.
Identify and report any defects or required additional works.
Communicate clearly with clients, site managers, and team members.
Follow health and safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.

Qualifications/Experience

Proven experience as a Painter and Decorator in residential or commercial settings.
Skilled in a variety of finishes, both water and solvent based.
A good work ethic is essential.
Good understanding of site safety and working practices.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Desirable but not essential - Driving licence/own transport.
Desirable but not essential - Paper hanging skill.
CSCS Card (preferred or willing to obtain).
