Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Fish and Chip Shop Fryer to join our busy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality fish and chips, ensuring excellent food safety standards, and delivering outstanding customer service. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the satisfaction of our valued customers. Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including battering and portioning fish and chips
- Cook food to the highest standards, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation
- Operate fryers safely and efficiently, maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the cooking area
- Follow food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
- Assist with meal preparation during busy periods to ensure timely service
- Maintain stock levels and notify management of supplies needed
- Keep the kitchen clean and sanitised, adhering to health and safety guidelines
- Serve customers politely and efficiently, providing excellent customer service when required
Skills
- Experience in food preparation and cooking within a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety procedures and hygiene standards
- Previous experience working in a kitchen or restaurant setting is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and a friendly attitude towards customers and team members
- Willingness to learn new skills related to meal preparation and food safety standards
Pay: From £12.21 per hour
