Overview
We are a leading forklift truck and materials-handling equipment company, providing driver/operator training across a wide range of materials-handling equipment.
We are looking for an organised and customer-focused Training Co-ordinator to join our team and take responsibility for the day-to-day administration and co-ordination of our training operations.
The role will involve scheduling training, liaising with customers and instructors, raising and managing jobs on our bespoke in-house software, ensuring all training and compliance documentation is completed correctly, issuing certificates and raising customer invoices.
This is a varied role requiring excellent organisation, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities while providing a high level of customer service.
Responsibilities
Training Co-ordination
- Schedule forklift truck and materials-handling equipment training for customers.
- Coordinate training courses, assessments and refresher training.
- Liaise with customers and instructors to arrange suitable dates and times.
- Manage changes, cancellations and rescheduling where required.
- Ensure instructors have all relevant information prior to training.
Job Management
- Raise training jobs accurately on the company’s bespoke in-house software.
- Ensure job information is complete and kept up to date.
- Monitor jobs from initial booking through to completion.
- Ensure completed training is correctly recorded on the system.
Compliance & Documentation
- Check that all required training paperwork and documentation is completed correctly.
- Monitor compliance requirements and follow up any outstanding information.
- Maintain accurate training records.
- Ensure documentation is available for audit and customer requirements.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies or missing information promptly.
Certification
- Process and issue certificates following successful completion of training.
- Ensure certificates are accurate and issued within agreed timescales.
- Maintain accurate records of certificates issued and training completed.
Customer Service
- Act as a key point of contact for customers regarding training requirements.
- Deal with customer enquiries by telephone and email.
- Provide clear and professional communication throughout the training process.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
- Resolve queries promptly and escalate issues where appropriate.
Invoicing
- Raise customer invoices following completion of training.
- Ensure invoices accurately reflect the training provided.
- Check that all information required for invoicing has been captured.
- Liaise with the relevant teams to resolve invoicing queries.
Skills
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Experience in an administration, co-ordination or customer service role.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Confidence dealing with customers and colleagues at all levels.
- Good IT skills and the ability to learn bespoke software systems.
- The ability to manage multiple jobs and priorities simultaneously.
- A proactive and positive approach to problem solving.
- Experience within the forklift, plant, transport, engineering or training industry would be advantageous but is not essential.

What You’ll Be Responsible For
From the initial customer booking through to the completion of training, certification and invoicing, you will help ensure that every training job is managed efficiently, accurately and professionally.
The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring our customers receive an excellent service and that our training operation remains compliant, organised and efficient.
The 25 hours are worked across 5 days - Monday to Friday . Flexible hours to suit- core hours ideally 0930-1430. Salary full time pro - rata
