The Role
As an AV Project Manager at Hutchi, you’ll play a central role in delivering technically complex projects across the UK. You’ll bring structure, clarity, and confidence to every stage of delivery — from pre-start through installation and commissioning to final handover.
This is a hands-on role, working closely with internal teams, clients, and third-party stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, to specification, and are commercially sound.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Working closely with Technical Sales to fully understand project scope, drawings, specifications, and constraints
- Managing customer communication, including attendance at pre-start, progress, and handover meetings
- Owning installation programmes and coordinating scheduling of resources to meet key milestones
- Coordinating project teams, providing clear direction and support to ensure high-quality delivery
- Arranging for procurement and deliveries, managing variations, and overall project profitability
- Tracking financial performance and maintaining commercial control throughout the project lifecycle
- Producing, implementing, and enforcing RAMS and maintaining high health & safety standards on site
- Coordinating with third-party suppliers, client IT teams, and other contractors as required
What You’ll Bring
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving ability and confident, pragmatic decision-making
- Proven experience delivering AV projects (experience with access control, IT infrastructure, or feature lighting is an advantage)
- Project management experience within AV, ideally in a fit-out or construction-led environment
- A collaborative approach, working effectively with Sales, Design, Installation, and Service teams
- Solid commercial awareness, including cost control and variation management
- Resilience, adaptability, and a customer-focused mindset
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required
- Project management certification is beneficial but not essential
