As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an ambitious Commercial Assistant who wants to develop into a future Project Manager, Contracts Manager or Commercial Manager.

The Opportunity
This isn't a typical office-based administration role.
You'll gain exposure to:
- Project pricing and estimating
- Procurement and supplier management
- Invoicing and commercial reporting
- Contract administration
- Site operations
- Project delivery
- Client management
You'll work alongside our commercial and operational teams, learning how projects are priced, procured, delivered and managed from start to finish.
Over time, you'll be given greater responsibility and encouraged to develop your own area within the business.
What You'll Be Doing
- Assisting with quotations and pricing submissions
- Gathering supplier and subcontractor costs
- Raising purchase orders
- Supporting procurement activities
- Preparing invoices and applications for payment
- Maintaining project and commercial records
- Tracking project costs and profitability
- Assisting Project Managers and Contracts Managers
- Supporting mobilisation of new projects
- Producing reports and management information
- Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs
What We're Looking For
We're more interested in attitude and potential than years of experience.
The right person will:
- Be ambitious and willing to learn
- Have strong organisational skills
- Be commercially aware
- Be confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Enjoy solving problems
- Take ownership of their work
- Look for solutions rather than excuses
- Communicate professionally with clients and suppliers
- Want to progress into a management role
Construction experience would be an advantage but isn't essential for the right candidate.
