Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a Qualified Dental Nurse/Receptionist to join our dental practice. The role is primarily working with a Dentist but may occasionally need you to cover on reception during leave times. Friendly, established team with staff ranging from 2 months service to 20 years so easy to fit in. Current software we use is dentally. The practice is a mixed NHS and Private practice.

Duties

Assisting dentists during procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
Preparing treatment rooms and sterilising equipment in accordance with health and safety standards
Managing patient appointments, scheduling, and follow-ups efficiently
Welcoming patients, answering queries, and providing information about treatments and services
Maintaining accurate patient records using IT systems
Handling administrative tasks such as billing, processing payments, and updating patient information
Ensuring the clinic environment remains clean, organised, and compliant with infection control protocols
Supporting patients through compassionate care and clear communication throughout their visit

Requirements

recognised qualification as a Dental Nurse with valid registration and minimum 1 years experience post qualification
Previous experience in a dental or healthcare setting is desirable
Strong patient care skills with a compassionate approach
Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively
Proficient in IT systems relevant to dental practice management
Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal
Ability to work well within a team and independently when required
Good organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and administrative duties

Pay: £14.00-£15.00 per hour
