Full job description

Join our dynamic hospitality team at Cally Palace Hotel & Golf Course as a Hotel Receptionist, where your energetic and welcoming presence will set the tone for an exceptional guest experience. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring their stay begins with warmth, professionalism, and seamless service. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a memorable environment that encourages repeat visits and positive reviews. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in hospitality while working in a vibrant, guest-focused setting.

Cally Palace Hotel & Golf Course is situated in Gatehouse of Fleet, approximately 14 miles west of Castle Douglas.

Duties

Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
Manage check-in and check-out processes efficiently using hotel management software
Answer incoming phone calls with excellent phone etiquette, assisting with reservations and inquiries
Handle guest requests promptly, resolving issues with a positive attitude and proactive approach
Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest rooms are prepared and issues are addressed swiftly

Qualifications

Proven experience in hotel reception or customer service roles preferred, with a strong focus on guest services
Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills to handle inquiries professionally
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing reservations and guest records
Ability to remain energetic, positive, and professional in a fast-paced environment
Hospitality or hotel experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
