Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Afro hair professional braider to join our dynamic beauty team. The ideal candidate will specialise in creating stunning braided hairstyles, providing exceptional customer service, and contributing to a welcoming salon environment. This role offers an opportunity to showcase your expertise in Afro hair styling while engaging with clients and supporting the overall success of our salon. All positions are paid, including internships, ensuring a professional and rewarding experience.

Duties

Expertly braid and style Afro hair using various techniques tailored to client preferences
Provide personalised consultations to understand client needs and recommend suitable styles
Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in all styling areas
Assist clients with hair care advice and aftercare instructions
Manage appointment scheduling efficiently, ensuring timely service delivery
Upsell additional services such as eyelash extensions, makeup application, or hair treatments where appropriate
Support store management with front desk duties, including greeting clients and handling enquiries
Mentor junior staff or apprentices, sharing expertise to foster skill development
Ensure a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat business and client satisfaction

Skills

Proven experience in Afro hair braiding and styling techniques (2+ years of experience required)
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients
Knowledge of store management practices and front desk operations
Ability to mentor junior team members and support team cohesion
Competence in offering additional beauty services such as eyelash extensions and makeup application is advantageous
Excellent upselling skills to promote complementary products or services
Outstanding communication skills to build rapport with clients and colleagues alike
Organised approach to managing appointments, inventory, and salon environment

This role provides an excellent platform for a dedicated Afro hair professional braider to develop their career within a supportive and vibrant salon environment.

Pay: £12.21-£15.00 per hour
