Commercial Manager

Salary: £50,000–£65,000 per annum (depending on experience)Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Commercial Manager to join our growing restaurant business. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving business growth, improving operational performance, increasing profitability, and ensuring the highest standards of customer service across the business.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual who can identify new business opportunities, manage commercial operations, monitor staff performance, and implement strategies that contribute to the long-term success of the company.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement commercial strategies to support business growth and profitability.
Monitor the performance of restaurant managers and staff, ensuring high standards of productivity and customer service.
Analyse sales, revenue, and operational performance, producing reports and recommending improvements.
Identify opportunities to increase revenue through marketing initiatives, partnerships, promotions, and new business opportunities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and business partners.
Oversee daily commercial operations and ensure business objectives are achieved.
Set performance targets and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
Work closely with senior management to develop expansion plans and improve business performance.
Review operational processes and implement more efficient systems where required.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost-control measures to maximise profitability.
Support recruitment, staff development, training, and performance management.
Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety requirements, and relevant legislation.
Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
Represent the company professionally when dealing with external stakeholders and potential commercial partners.

Essential Requirements

Previous experience in a Commercial Manager, Operations Manager, Business Development Manager, or senior management role.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Ability to analyse financial and operational data to make informed commercial decisions.
Experience in business development and identifying growth opportunities.
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and business reporting tools.
Experience within the hospitality or restaurant sector is desirable.
