Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Payroll and Accounts Assistant to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing payroll processing, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting various accounting functions. Your energetic approach and meticulous attention to detail will ensure smooth payroll operations and precise payroll management, contributing to the overall efficiency of our financial processes.

Responsibilities

· Process employee payroll accurately and on schedule using payroll system Sage 50

· Maintain and update employee records within Sage 50 and accounting software, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality

· Assist with accounts payable tasks, including invoice processing

· Support data entry activities related to payroll, expenses, and financial transactions with precision and timeliness

· Reconcile payroll reports and prepare analysis reports to identify discrepancies or anomalies for resolution

· Collaborate with human resources, Senior Managers and employees to ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.

· Maintain organised records of payroll documentation, tax filings, and other financial reports

Qualifications

· Proven experience with payroll processing

· Familiarity with accounting Sage 50

· Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail

· Knowledge of accounts payable procedures and financial reconciliation processes

· Excellent analysis skills to interpret financial data and identify issues promptly

· Understanding of human resources functions related to payroll, benefits, and compliance regulations

· Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
