Full job description

Sales & Purchase Ledger Clerk

Location: Baytree Garden Centre
Job Type: Part-time minimum 18 hours

Baytree Garden Centre is looking for an organised and detail-oriented Sales & Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our friendly finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy, customer-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

Processing sales and purchase invoices accurately and efficiently.
Matching, checking and coding invoices.
Reconciling supplier statements and resolving invoice queries.
Maintaining accurate financial records and ledger accounts.
Assisting with credit control and monitoring outstanding balances.
Supporting month-end procedures and account reconciliations.
Liaising with suppliers, customers and colleagues in a professional manner.
Providing general administrative support to the finance department.

We're looking for someone who:

Has previous experience in a sales and/or purchase ledger role
Has excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Is confident using Microsoft Excel and Accounting software
Experience of Pegasus Opera preferable
Has strong organisational and time management skills
Can work independently as well as part of a team
Has excellent communication and customer service skills
