There is one vacancy available, offered either as a permanent role or as a 24-month secondment opportunity. For those applying for secondment, this is open to:

serving police officers substantive in the rank of Chief Inspector or those officers suitably qualified for temporary promotion in the rank of Inspector. All applicants must have the support of their Chief Officer which must be of NPCC rank, i.e., CC, ACC or DCC and this must accompany an application.

An initial sift based on the lead technical skill Up to date proven competence, experience, skills and knowledge to the level required within the Surveillance specialism may be held if a large number of applications are received. Candidates who pass the initial sift may be progressed to a full sift or progressed straight to assessment/interview.
