Full job description

Job Overview

We are looking for a reliable and hard-working person to join our team in a varied role involving machinery operation, general maintenance, and day-to-day site duties in a plant nursery.

The role would suit someone who is practical, hands-on, and willing to get stuck in. You should have a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and the ability to use good judgement when carrying out tasks.

Responsibilities

Operating machinery safely and efficiently
Making local deliveries in the company van (where required)
Carrying out general maintenance and handyman tasks
Assisting with day-to-day site operations such as filling pots with compost, moving stock around site safely, etc.
Working independently when required
Working well as part of a team
Following health and safety procedures

The ideal applicant will have:

Experience operating machinery
A forklift licence would be an advantage, but training can be provided
Van driving experience would be an advantage, but training can be provided
A positive and willing attitude
A practical, common-sense approach to problem-solving
A good work ethic and reliable timekeeping
Confidence working alone or in a team environment
A respectful and professional manner

Pay: £13.00 per hour
